How self hypnosis works

Self hypnosis works by putting your body into a highly relaxed and care free state, referred to as a “trance”. When someone is in a trance they are highly susceptible to persuasion and influence.

Once you’re in a trance, a technique called autosuggestion is used whereby you are able to change the way the fundamental part of your brain thinks and
functions - your subconscious!

In order for self hypnosis and autosuggestion to work your brain waves must be lowered down to a theta wave state (4-7hz). Your brain is normally within this wavelength when you’re drowsy, very sleepy or are day dreaming.

The idea behind self hypnosis is to lower you to this theta wave length, thus putting you in a “trance” and then plant thoughts within your subconscious through the powers of autosuggestion.

Sounds complicated? The best thing is, is that you don’t need to understand hypnosis in order to be able to use it on yourself!

In order to create the environment required for you to perform self hypnosis and mind hypnosis on yourself, two things will be required -

1. You will need to be in an environment that is deeply relaxing. Usage of a relaxation CD is almost a must.

2. You will need an external voice to give you autosuggestive commands that will enter within your subconscious once you become relaxed.

Self hypnosis can be used to practically change every part of your existence, from your personality to the way you think to the way you behave. It can be used to overcome fear, worry, anger and a multitude of other vices. It can even be used to heal your body of ailments by making your body think it’s not sick.

Self hypnosis can also help you improve as an individual. It can save relationships if used correctly. Imagine if you can change yourself to exactly how your partner wants? Perhaps you can even change your partner!

The way autosuggestion works is that once you’re in a “trance”, any words you hear will be planted within your subconscious, even though you’re not aware of it!

If you have a fear of heights, and you autosuggest to yourself “I do not fear heights”, then your subconscious will believe that you do not fear heights.

This will have the direct effect of causing your conscious mind to never be afraid of heights again! The same strategy can be used to overcome just about any personal problem that you may have.

Remember though, in order for autosuggestion to work you must be in a “trance” and getting into a trance can be difficult if you don’t use the correct procedures.

In order to enter a “trance” so you may be hypnotized you will either need to hire the services of a professional hypnotist or hypnotize yourself through an online hypnosis course. It is not recommended you use someone that doesn’t have much experience in hypnotism, as there are some potential dangers, especially if they plant negative thoughts into your subconscious.
